Delete your Pyzo account and your data

This page explains how to request the deletion of your Pyzo account and all the associated data: the procedure to follow, which data is deleted, which data may be retained and for how long.
1. App concerned
This procedure concerns the Pyzomobile app — the budgeting app for couples — as published on the Google Play Store and the App Store. It is published by the publisher of the pyzo.fr website, whose contact details can be found in the legal notice.
2. Deletion request procedure
You can request the deletion of your Pyzo account in two ways.
Option A — From the app (recommended):
- open the Pyzo app;
- go to the Profile tab, then to the account settings;
- select “Delete my account” and confirm the request.
Since the Pyzo account is shared by both members of a couple, deletion relies on a double confirmation: one partner makes the request, the other confirms it from their device. A member without an associated partner can delete their account immediately.
Option B — By email:
- if you no longer have access to the app, write to hello@pyzo.fr — or use this pre-filled deletion request link;
- specify the email address associated with your Pyzo account;
- we verify your identity, then proceed with the deletion. The request is processed within a maximum of one month.
3. Data deleted
Deleting the account entails the permanent erasure of the following data:
- Account and profile: first name, email address, gender, date of birth, income, payment identifiers (PayPal.me, Revolut, Lydia), profile photo;
- Couple data: couple name, relationship type, expenses, splits, settlements and balances, budgets, recurring expenses, custom categories and history;
- Technical data: session identifiers and app preferences.
When the deletion concerns a couple, both accounts and all the shared data are erased, and both devices are signed out.
This data is deleted from our systems within a maximum of 30 days from the confirmation of the request.
4. Data retained and retention periods
Some data may be retained beyond the 30 days, only where required by law, and solely for the applicable legal duration:
- Billing and accounting data (if you subscribed to Pyzo Premium): retained for up to 10 years, in accordance with legal accounting obligations;
- Technical logs (security logs): retained for a maximum of 12 months.
Once these legal periods have elapsed, this data is in turn permanently deleted. No other data is retained.
