Terms of Service
Last updated : May 14, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the Pyzo service. By joining the waitlist or using the service, you accept these Terms without reservation.
1. Purpose
Pyzo is an application for couples who want to manage their shared expenses while keeping separate bank accounts. The service notably lets you log expenses, calculate each person's share, and make monthly settling up between the two members of the couple easier.
2. Status of the service
Pyzo is currently in private beta, scheduled to open in June 2026. During this period:
- the service is provided free of charge to invited users;
- some features may be limited, modified or temporarily unavailable;
- the publisher reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the service without notice.
3. Sign-up and user account
Access to the service requires creating an account. When signing up for the waitlist, the user provides their first name, email address and, optionally, their partner's first name.
The user undertakes to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and preserve the confidentiality of their credentials. Any action carried out from an account is presumed to have been performed by its holder.
4. Plans and pricing
During the private beta, the service is provided free of charge; no payment is required.
At commercial launch, Pyzo will offer two service tiers:
- Free plan: shared-expense tracking, split modes, balance and settling up, basic statistics and data export;
- Pyzo Premium: €39.99 incl. tax / year (about €3.33/month), with a 7-day free trial, unlocking budgets, recurring expenses, custom categories, recaps and advanced statistics.
A single Premium subscription covers both members of the couple: when one partner subscribes, the other also gets Premium.
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through the Apple App Store and Google Play platforms. The exact applicable price is shown in the app at the time of purchase. Purchase restoration is supported. Renewal, cancellation and refunds of subscriptions are subject to the terms of the platform (Apple or Google) used at the time of purchase.
5. User obligations
The user undertakes to:
- use the service in accordance with its purpose and applicable laws;
- not disrupt the operation of the service, nor attempt to access its resources in an unauthorized manner;
- not enter unlawful or defamatory data, or data infringing third-party rights;
- not use the service for fraudulent or money-laundering purposes.
6. Limitation of liability
Pyzo is a budgeting-assistance tool and in no way constitutes financial, tax or legal advice. The calculations provided are given for guidance only; it is up to the user to verify their accuracy before any settlement.
Pyzo does not process, store or have access to its users' banking data. Money transfers between members of the couple are made through third-party services (PayPal, Revolut, Lydia, handing over cash, etc.) under the sole responsibility of the users.
The publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damages (loss of data, loss of business, moral prejudice, etc.) resulting from use of the service.
7. Suspension and termination
The user may delete their account at any time from the app settings or by writing to hello@pyzo.fr. Deletion entails the permanent erasure of the associated data within 30 days, except where legal retention obligations apply.
Since the Pyzo account is shared by both members of a couple, deleting the couple relies on a double confirmation: one partner makes the request, the other must accept it. Upon acceptance, all of the couple's data as well as both accounts are erased, and both devices are signed out. A member without an associated partner can delete their account directly.
The publisher reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the service in the event of a breach of these Terms, with prior notice where possible.
8. Intellectual property
All elements of the service (interface, logo, source code, editorial content) are the exclusive property of the publisher or its partners and are protected by intellectual property law. No unauthorized use is permitted.
9. Personal data
The processing of personal data is detailed in the privacy policy, which complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
10. Changes to the Terms
The publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Substantial changes will be notified to the user by email or in the app at least 15 days before they take effect.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and after attempting an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
In accordance with articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the consumer user may use a consumer mediator free of charge to seek an amicable resolution of the dispute.
